Candlelight tour and concert at Long Pond Ironworks

| 18 Oct 2016 | 11:23

On Saturday evening, Oct. 29, The Friends of Long Pond Ironworks will offer a tour through the Historic District, giving tourists a rare glimpse of 18th century village life at night. Historical balladeer Linda Russell returns to Long Pond with her selection of patriotic anthems, broadsides, hymns, and dance tunes punctuated with anecdotes and historical facts from primary source material. Russell’s rich singing voice illuminates our American heritage while she performs on guitar, mountain and hammered dulcimers, penny whistle, and limber jack.
The tour will be held at 8 p.m. Families are welcome; children must be 12 years of age and older. Advance registration is required as space is limited. Tickets are $10/adult and $5/child.
To make a reservation, leave your name, tour date and time, number of tickets, and telephone number on the Friends of Long Pond Ironworks information line at 973-657-1688. The friends will confirm your reservation.
