| 15 Oct 2012 | 09:16

— The Friends of Long Pond Ironworks will offer a candlelight walk through the historic district to the furnaces, where tourists will be treated by renowned musical balladeer Linda Russell.

The event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Russell will perform on guitar, mountain and hammered dulcimers, penny whistle, and limber jack while her rich singing voice illuminates our American heritage through patriotic anthems, broadsides, hymns, and dance tunes. She punctuates her musical performances with anecdotes and facts from primary source material.

A family concert will be offered at 7:30 p.m. Children under 12 years of age will not be admitted. An adult only concert will be offered at 9:30 p.m. Advance registration is required as space is limited. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

To make a reservation, leave your name, tour time, number of tickets, and telephone number on the Friends of Long Pond Ironworks information line at 973-657-1688. They will confirm your reservation.
