Chabad lecture to explore ancient Jewish wisdom

    NEWTON - Chabad Jewish Community Center of Sussex County is presenting a lecture on “Cosmology (the first moments of the universe), Kabbala and Poetry” from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, at Sussex County Community College. The lecture, by Rabbi Jeremy Luchins, will present recent landmark discoveries in the sciences with detailed analysis of their increasing alignment with the ancient wisdom of Kabbala, Talmud and Jewish tradition. Dr Luchins is senior rabbi and chairman of the science department at the Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School in Livingston. He has lectured extensively on this topic across the nation, sharing his knowledge regarding the convergence of modern science and religion. The lecture will be held in the theatre building at Sussex County Community College, One College Hill, Newton. Donations appreciated; reservations are required.
