Christmas story anew

Sparta — Rehearsals are underway for this year’s production of “Two From Galilee.” Based on the classic novel by Marjorie Holmes, it is the Christmas story as seen through the eyes of Mary and Joseph. Brought to you through the combined efforts of 40 churches in New York and New Jersey, it is under the direction of Tom Hallet and The Completely Mobile Theatre Company. Performances will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1; 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2; and 4 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 3, at McNiece Auditorium in Sparta. The production will also be performed at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21, 8 p.m. on Friday Dec. 22, and 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 23 at The Lycian Theater in Sugar Loaf, N.Y.
