MORRISTOWN — Stand-up comic Mike Birbiglia shares a lifetime of romantic blunders and miscues that most adults would spend a lifetime trying to forget on Saturday, March 10, at 8 p.m. at the Mayo Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $37 to $47.

Mike Birbiglia’s My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend opened off-Broadway at the Barrow St. Theatre in New York City on March 18, 2011. During its run, the show won the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Solo Show and was named a “Critics’ Pick” by The New York Times, New York Magazine, and Time Out New York. Time magazine called the show’s finale “possibly the best 15-minute stretch of playwrighting… all season.”

After four months and over 80 performances, Mike Birbiglia’s My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend ended its New York City run. Now, Birbiglia is bringing the show on the road, performing in more than 20 cities throughout the United States.

He is best known for his hit show "Sleepwalk With Me," which won the Nightlife Award and was nominated for Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel, and Outer Critics Circle awards. He recently appeared in two films, "Going the Distance" and "Cedar Rapids." Birbiglia continues to contribute to This American Life on Public Radio International. He has made numerous appearances on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The View, The Late Show with David Letterman, and This American Life on Showtime. His literary debut, "Sleepwalk With Me And Other Painfully True Stories," was published by Simon and Schuster in Oct. 2010 and became a New York Times bestseller. This summer, Birbiglia plans to film "Sleepwalk with Me," a movie in which he will write and star, to be produced by Ira Glass.
