Jefferson The Jefferson Township Community Chorus begins its seventh year on Tuesday, Feb. 6 with a 7:30 to 9 p.m. rehearsal in the Music Room at the Jefferson Township Middle School. Rehearsals will continue each Tuesday at this location unless school is closed for any reason. For those who enjoy singing a variety of musical styles, please consider joining us. The chorus is open to high school students through adults. Tenors, basses, sopranos, and altos are needed. No auditions are required. Sponsored by the Jefferson Arts Committee, the chorus presents spring and winter concerts and sings at Jefferson Day, Christmas In the Village and other special events on invitation. Through the years, they have sung traditional folk songs, Broadway show tunes, sacred music, ethnic tunes, popular songs and classical music. The chorus is directed by Robin Van Schaick of Lake Hopatcong, and accompanied by Margaret Brandell of Milton, both graduates of Westminster Choir College in Princeton.
