Concerts Under the Stars begin Tuesday

— Grab your lawn chairs. The "Concerts Under the Stars" series begins on Tuesday, July 2 at Bubbling Springs park.

Kicking off the Community Services and Recreation Departments concerts this Tuesday is local favorites "The Rockaholics" with Jimmy the Barber. This four-piece classic rock band will be playing songs from the 60s through the 80s. And not only with their musicianship impress, but their humorous antics make for a great night of family fun.

The rest of the Concerts series include:

July 9 - Thunderhill plays country's finest tunes as the second installment in the series. Get ready to kick up your heels on the dance floor. Thunderhill plays both top 40 music as well as classic country.

July 16 - The Harmony Brothers take the stage performing classic rock music from the 50s through the 80s. They're a local favorite, "out here to have fun, make people happy and give the crowd a high energy performance."

July 30 - Barry Ryan's Rockabilly X makes its Concerts Under the Stars debut on the 30th. This toe-tapping group features original rockabilly music as well as favorites from the biggest rockabilly stars of the 1950s, including Elvis, Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran.

Aug. 6 - Parrot Beach returns to West Milford for the series finale. With an island beach party tribute to Jimmy Buffet, you'll want to wear your Hawaiian shirt, grab a cheeseburger and get ready for paradise. This unique band takes you to the ultimate vacation destination with their fun island music. This concert takes place right on the Bubbling Springs beach, steps away from the gazebo. Shoes are optional.

The Concerts Under the Stars are free and open to everyone. They begin at 7:15 p.m. at the Rotary gazebo in Bubbling Springs, located on Macopin Road. The concession stand will be open for all concerts so make a night of it. Rain dates are July 23, Aug. 13, 20 and 27.
