Newton - “Eat, Drink and Be Healthy” is the theme of the annual Health and Wellness Conference at Sussex County Community College, to be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, in the D-Building Galleria and classrooms. The fair is free and open to the public. The college is located at One College Hill Rd. in Newton. Representatives of area health care and wellness facilities will be on campus administering screenings, providing literature, and offering free massages. Screenings and information tables will be available continuously during the fair, whereas workshops and information sessions will be held beginning at 11 a.m. and 11:35 a.m. Scheduled workshops and sessions include: Better Fitness through Kick Boxing Safe Cardiovascular & Resistance Training Why Yoga Works When Diets Fail Cooking for Better Nutrition How to Give a GREAT Back Rub Eating Disorders - Obesity, Anorexia & Bulemia Heart Health Diet and Exercise Fibromyalgia & Massage Type 2 Diabetes Stressed to the Max? In addition to the free workshops and information sessions, there will also be drawings for fitness memberships, body massages, kick boxing membership and more. Pre-registration is not necessary.
