Newton - Pizza Hut on Route 206 in Newton will do its part to strenghthen families on Wednesday, Nov. 16. Twenty percent of proceeds from dinners served between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. that day will be donated to Strengthening Families, a free weekly fun night that helps build bonds between parents and children. Strengthening Families is a program of the Center for Prevention and Counseling. “Strengthening Families is offered one night per week to help parents and kids communicate, have fun, and simply spend quality, family time together,” Ava LaMorte, coordinator for the program, said. “The program can be offered free of charge to the community because of limited grant funding complimented by generous donations.” For patrons’ orders to be counted toward the donation, they must present a coupon to their wait staff. Coupons can be printed from the center’s website, www.centerforprevention.org. For additional information, call 973-383-4787.
