Estey home to host ‘Christmas in the Village'

    Jefferson - The Estey family of Jefferson has opened its home to the Jefferson Arts Committee to host “Art in the Mansion,” a fine arts show, as part of the committee’s first annual “Christmas in the Village” event scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3. The artwork will be on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the home, located on Milton Road, centered in the horseshoe of Winding Hollow Drive. Among the artists and photographers who will be exhibiting their work are Andre L. Liput - oils; Kay Money - photographs; Richard West - West Photo Imaging; Sue Miller - Magic Palette Art Studio; Susan Kadar - oils; and Elizabeth Albert Wallace - oils//acrylics. “Christmas in the Village” will be a day of family fun with no admission or parking fees. Visitors will be able to stroll through Milton Crossings as Milton Rd. from Legion Rd. to Schoolhouse Rd. and Dover. Several other buildings in the immediate area will serve as indoor venues for various activities and entertainment, including the Jefferson Museum, the Senior Citizens Center, Fire Company No. 1’s building and grounds, St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church, and the Milton United Methodist Church. In the evening, the Jefferson Twp. Gazebo and the Public Library will also take part. Free park-and-ride service will be available throughout the day with parking available at the Senior Center at 54 Schoolhouse Rd., the American Legion Post #423 parking lot on Legion Rd. (just off Berkshire Valley Rd.), and the Jefferson Township Municipal Building parking lot at 1033 Weldon Rd. The Jefferson Township Dial-a-Ride vans will provide shuttle service between locations.
