Newton The official start of the fall season was Sept. 23, but the beginning of fall family fun will be set in motion at Sussex County Community College’s 6th annual Fall Festival, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30. The fall festival is a time for the college to focus on “Celebrating Community” and this year is no different, as SCCC continues the year-long celebration of its 25th anniversary. As in years past, the festival will be fun for the whole family. There will be games, relay races, prizes, face painting, crafts, story telling, and rides. A notable change to this year’s festival is the addition of an old-fashioned flea market. In addition to the flea market and rides there will be music, a coffeehouse, local service agencies, antiques, and a farmers market. A trackless train will get folks around to see all the sights. The public is invited to attend the festival and admission is free. This year will feature some new rides and a ride-all-day wristband is still just $5. For more information please call 973-300-2230.
