Sparta The Junior Woman’s Club of Sparta will hold this year’s Festival of Trees on Nov. 17 and 18, at the Lake Mohawk Golf Club. Decorators are needed for both four foot and six foot trees. Both individual tree sponsorships and corporate sponsorship opportunities are available. If you are interested in either, call Darlene Blandina at 300-7309. Tree decorators will receive two complimentary tickets to the Holiday Preview Gala, where the trees will be judged. Once again the Festival of Trees will feature a silent auction of decorated Christmas trees, adult and children’s entertainment, and a sale of baked goods and decorated wreaths. This year’s beneficiary, SCARC, Inc., is dedicated to the empowerment and support of people with developmental disabilities and their families. The organization will facilitate partnerships with community resources, assist in maximum community participation, promote individual planning based on choices, preferences, and needs, and foster the development of socially valued roles for each person served.
