SPARTA-The Junior Woman’s Club of Sparta will again sponsor Festival of Trees, Nov. 18 and Nov. 19, at the Lake Mohawk Golf Club, Sparta. This year’s festival gala will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18. The gala kicks off a two-day event where decorated trees will be auctioned off in a silent auction. The ticket price of $35 will include hors d’oeuvres, dessert, and entertainment. A cash bar will be available. Ticket will be sold in advance until Nov. 15 by contacting any JWCS member or by calling 973-300-7309. Tickets are also available at the Sparta Book Store and Buckles & Bows. On Saturday, Nov. 19, various live entertainment will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Santa will be available for wishes from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., and a bake sale will run throughout the day for all to enjoy. Again this year, a jewelry raffle will take place with jewelry donated by J. Thomas Jewelers of Sparta. The jewelry is a 14k gold and amethyst and diamond necklace and pierced earring set with a retail value of $1000. Raffle tickets are $5 and will be available at the festival, or by calling 973-300-7309, or stopping by J. Thomas Jewelers in Upper Lake Mohawk Plaza. The winner need not be present at the drawing to win. The Junior Woman’s Club of Sparta has chosen two charities to share in the proceeds of this year’s Festival of Trees: Cherished Creations, a non-profit organization whose mission is to create better lives for seriously ill and underprivileged children, and the Sussex County Chapter of the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
