NEWTON -The acoustic jazz of Trio-Globo will conclude the 2006 “Thursdays on the Green” season at Sussex County Community College to be held on Aug. 17. The performance will take place on the Connor Green, rain or shine. The event is free and the public is invited to attend. Bring your own blanket or chair to the performance. The college will be kicking off a year long celebration for their 25th anniversary with cake being served at 6 p.m. and music to begin at 6:45 p.m. Three Grammy award winners form Trio Globo: Eugene Friesen, Cello; Howard Levy, Harmonica and Piano; and Glen Velez, percussion. Trio Globo has crafted an original voice in contemporary acoustic jazz.
