Having Fun

Kindergarten and first graders generally don’t need an invitation to have fun. However Walnut Ridge Elementary School teacher Michael Moschella wasn’t taking any chances last week when, through a series of seven shows called “Let Us Have Some Fun,” he made sure that students and parents alike got their quota. “I spontaneously chose 40 to 50 first graders and have been working with them since January and have tried to superimpose the joy and freedom of music into the limitations of working with such a large number of first graders,” said Moschella. “What I wanted to get across is that our themeless show is about music for its own sake. The performance is important, but so is the process of learning.”
