Sparta The Holiday Traditions Concert concert which has entertained area residents for 15 years will be held on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. at the William McNeice Auditorium in Sparta. The event’s proceeds will benefit the programs of Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice. Gary Haberman’s Holiday Festival Orchestra will perform holiday musical favorites. The evening’s program will also include a special performance by the Kittatinny Regional High School Choir, under the direction of Musical Director Joseph Mello and the Children’s Chorus of Sussex County, under the direction of Musical Director Deborah Mello. The orchestra is relatively new to the North Jersey area, and is comprised of orchestral and commercial musicians in the New York Metropolitan area, with combined performance credits of virtually every major entertainer in the country. The orchestra began as the brainchild of Gary Haberman who observed a need for an affordable orchestral venue, one which does not sacrifice overall quality because of size. The orchestra achieves these goals through effective arrangements and the creative use of sound reinforcement. Thanks to the strong support of the community and businesses, the orchestra looks forward to a successful event to benefit the programs and services of Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice. Tickets prices range from $24.50, $19.50 to $15.50, and may be purchased at several local locations including Hinkley Auto Sales in Andover or Montague; Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice in Newton.
