Warwick, N.Y. - The Illustrious Theatre Company, in residence at the Warwick Valley Winery, will hold auditions for its production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield. This zany, high energy comedy, directed by Mary Clifford, requires three male actors (ages 20s to 30s), skilled in broad physical comedy and improvisation, who have the ability to handle Shakespearean verse well enough to parody it. The actors present all of Shakespeare’s works in outrageous styles and abbreviated versions in about two hours. Auditions will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, at the Warwick Valley Winery, 114 Little York Rd., just off County Route 1 in the Pine Island region of Warwick. The auditions will consist of readings from the script and improvisation. Production dates are April 28, 29, 30 and May 5, 6, 7.
