WEST MILFORD Let's go back to a simpler time, a fun time where poodle skirts were all the rage and boys slicked their hair back to be cool.
Join the township's Department of Community Services and Recreation for a Back to the 50s Sock Hop on Saturday, June 16, at the West Milford Elks Lodge.
Get together with your friends for a night of dancing and socializing, all while enjoying the music of the 50s and 60s., with a little country thrown in for good measure.
Tickets are $10 through June 8 and $15 after that. No tickets will be sold at the door so buy your tickets in advance. Refreshments will be served, including desserts, root beer floats, coffee and tea.
Prizes will be awarded for games, including a Hula Hoop contest.
Doors open at 6:45 and the dance is from 7 to 11 p.m.
