Jefferson Chorus presents ‘American Sampler' June 11

    Oak Ridge - The Jefferson Arts Committee will present the Jefferson Community Chorus in “An American Sampler” performance at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, at Grace Evangelical Free Church, located at 5550 Berkshire Valley Rd., in Oak Ridge. The chorus, directed by Robin VanSchaick and accompanied by Margaret Brandell, will sing “Chester,” “An American Trilogy,” “Summertime,” “Over the Rainbow,” “Frostiana,” and other favorites. Formed in April 2001 by the Jefferson Arts Committee, the chorus welcomes participation from area adults, high-school alumni, and students. Rehearsals are usually held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday nights in the middle school music room.
