Jefferson - The Jefferson Community Players return to the stage with three one-act plays at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 10; at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 11; and at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 16, at the Jefferson Senior Center, 54 Schoolhouse Rd., Milton/Oak Ridge. The drama, Nothing in Common, by Jennifer Fell Hayes, is a story about a successful business woman who is unable to bear children and offers to adopt the baby born to a young single woman who cannot care for the child. Lynette Kelly and Christine Dour play the two women. Dour also appears with Lynda Kolvik in the comedy, Family Names, by Edna Pelonero. Family Names is the story of an attractive woman who visits a worker at a hardware store and announces that she is her husband’s mistress. The worker is not married, but has a brother of the same name. In fact, her large family has many identical names, and the more questions the mistress asks, the more confused she becomes. Another comedy, Pizza: A Love Story, by Julianne Bernstein, will feature performances by Thom Florio, Christine Klecka, John Sacino, Brenda Schreier, Basker Gummadi and Nina Fleishman. This is the story of a jittery girl who realizes that her boyfriend intends to propose marriage and can’t make up her mind whether to say yes. To stall for time, she makes various phone calls and orders a pizza to distract her boyfriend. There will be no performance of Nothing in Common on June 11.
