Junior Woman's Club readies for Sparta Day, seeks sponsors

Sparta - The Junior Woman’s Club, in conjunction with the Sparta Parks and Recreation Dept., will host its 31st annual Sparta Day on Saturday, June 10 Sparta Day is a rain or shine craft fair and family festival to raise funds for local charities. Over the years it has also become a much-anticipated community event. The organizers plan on having over 100 vendors, as well as rides, entertainment and food. This year the Junior Woman’s Club hopes to offer the children’s entertainment free of charge to the community. The designated area of “Sparta’s Kid Country” will consist of rides, activities and demonstrations for children of all ages. To accomplish this goal, the club is asking local businesses to support the event. Buckles & Bows of Upper Lake Plaza has agreed to be the “platinum” sponsor by co-sponsoring “Sparta’s Kid Country” with the club. The Junior Woman’s Club of Sparta is also looking for “gold,” “silver” and “bronze” sponsorships. Each requires a monetary donation in return sole sponsorship or co-sponsorship of a ride or activity. All sponsors will have their name displayed at the ride or activity they are sponsoring and their name will also be displayed at the entrance to the kids’ area. A “gold” sponsor will also receive a free booth in the vendor area. Deadline for sonsorship is April 28. Those interested should send email to spartaday2006@hotmail.com.
