SUSSEX COUNTY-Bula World Cuisine will go wild on Sunday, October 3 when owner and chef Bradley Boyle teams up with Field & Stream's "Wild Chef" columnist, Jonathan Miles, for an evening of game, fish and wine to aid the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice. Chef Bradley Boyle will offer a four-course meal featuring farm-raised game and sportfish entrees that will appeal to hunters, fishermen and anyone lovers of vibrant cuisine. Music is being provided by Karl Latham, a New Jersey native who has performed with such jazz greats as Jon Lee, Slide Hampton and Clark Terry. Miles, who writes the bimonthly "Wild Chef' column for the 1.5-million circulation Field & Stream, will speak about each course as well as about the wines, donated by Burke's Wine and Liquor in Sparta, paired with each entrée. Among the wines will be: Quinta do Crasto from Portugal, Chateau Musar from Lebanon and Spy Valley from New Zealand. Boyle attended the Culinary Institute of America and served as an apprentice under Daniel Boulud at Le Cirque in Manhattan. He worked for several other restaurants in Manhattan including Mortimers before opening Bula with his wife, Laurie, in March, 2001. Miles, a resident of Warwick, is an award-winning writer who has contributed to Food & Wine, GQ, Gray's Sporting Journal and Men's Journal, among others. His work has twice been selected for inclusion in the Best American Sports Writing anthology series. All proceeds will benefit the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, serving residents in Sussex and Warren and Pike counties since 1980. As a non-profit organization, the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice is committed to provide care to all terminally ill patients regardless of their ability to pay.
