Oak Ridge The sixty years following 1837, when Queen Victoria held the English throne, is known as the Victorian era. This historical period is the subject of a slide show, exhibit of objects and lecture at the Jefferson Township Public Library, 1031 Weldon Road in Oak Ridge on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. The program will be presented by the Morris County Historical Society, whose mission is to discover, preserve and make known the history of Morris County through exhibits, programs, publications and preservation advocacy. The Victorian era, a time of scientific and technological advances, population explosion and increased production of goods, is a fascinating period in our history.
