Lil' Bastad to play the Stanhope House

    Stanhope - The five-piece blues band, Lil’Bastad, will appear on Friday, Jan. 26 at the Stanhope House. The show starts at 9:30 p.m. There is a $10 cover charge. Formed in 1999, Lil’ Bastad combines formal “old school” style and their own contemporary feel to form a winning musical balance. Although they have been true to their funky rhythm & blues roots; recently, they’ve expanded to embrace full-horn section and Chicago blues material The driving creativity of Mark Bowers (lead guitar & Vox), as a live performer and studio innovator, is reflected throughout the band ... The other members include: John Palmer (keyboardss), Ronald “Boz” Bostick (bass), Luke Michura (rhythm guitar & Vox), Dave Moore (Drums), who lock in syncopated blues compositions that orchestrate a fresh and innovative perspective of listening to blues, funk, and R&B.
