Vernon Watercolor artist Joan M. Ross recently received the Award of Excellence for her painting “Uptegrove Farm” at the North East Watercolor Society’s Member Exhibition at Orange County Community College in Middletown, N.Y. In addition, Ross has work on view at the Ringwood Manor Association of the Arts Juried Exhibition until Oct. 11 and at the New Jersey Water Color Society’s Juried Exhibition at the Monmouth Museum, in Lindcroft, until Oct. 29. Her painting titled “Hamburg Mountain” was selected for the International North East Watercolor Society’s exhibition in Kent, Conn. The show will be open from Oct. 22 through Nov. 4, and Ross’ work will be on view until Nov. 5. Known for her regional landscapes, Ross is represented by the Cardinal Art Gallery in Vernon and the Artery Gallery in Milford, Pa.
