NEWTON - At 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, there will be an open house and reception at Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice with Julia Quinlan, author of “My Joy, My Sorrow.” Light refreshments will be served, and visitors are welcome to meet with Julia and have copies of her book signed. “My Joy, My Sorrow” offers the story of the Quinlan family’s experience.
