WEST MILFORD — Five local churches in North Jersey - Philadelphia Church, Living Word, Grace Fellowship, Echo Lake Baptist, and Green Pond Bible Chapel - have united together to form a group called the “Partnership Project of Northern New Jersey” to produce an Easter drama. The production will be held at the West Milford High School Auditorium on Thursday, April 13 and Friday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the West Milford Creative Playground project. Originally developed by the pastor at the Philadelphia Church in Oak Ridge, the multi media drama has been an annual event during Easter week since 1992. This year’s cast of over 40 people will be comprised of members from each of the participating churches. The production features Jesus and His 12 disciples, the high priests Caiaphas and Annis and two men who are forced to examine their beliefs during a time of trial. The action shifts back and forth from ancient Jerusalem to the present day, enabling the audience to see what Jesus’ last hours were like while challenging people to find the relevance to their lives today. The doors will open at 7 p.m. with the production to begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $5 by calling The Philadelphia Church at 973-208-8757, or at the door for $7. All tickets are for open seating only.
