WEST MILFORD — Local ceramic artist Deborah Goletz will be participating in the Potters Guild of New Jersey s Annual Spring Pottery Festival and Sale of functional and sculptural ceramics at the Community Presbyterian Church, at 1459 Deer Path in Mountainside (corner of Deer Path and Meeting House Lane) on Saturday, April 27 from 11am to 5pm and Sunday, April 28 from 12pm to 5pm. Showcasing American craft made by more than 40 exhibiting artists across the state, the sale will offer a chance to meet the makers.
Goletz's work consists of decorative teapots and functional pottery. You may know her as the potter at the NY Renaissance Faire and owner of For Love of Mud Pottery in West Milford (www.forloveofmud.com). Her whimsical teapots have recently received national recognition and will be featured in the book 500 TEAPOTS (Lark Books), to be released this August. Several of these teapots will be for sale at the Potters Guild Annual Spring Pottery Sale and Festival in Mountainside on April 27 and 28.
This increasingly popular event draws hundreds of customers from throughout New Jersey and the tri state area. Available for sale will be a fabulous selection of vases, wall pieces, pitchers, teapots, platters, casseroles, raku and pit-fired vessels in varying colors and styles, and one-of-a-kind sculptures and decorative objects of art.
