NEWTON — Progressive rock Rush tribute band Lotus Land is coming to the Newton Theatre at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12.
Appealing to a multi-generational group of fans, Lotus Land is an authentic tribute to rock group Rush. The three-member band recreates the sound and energy of a Rush concert. The band features Chris Nelson on vocals, bass and keyboards; Bob Chartrand on guitar and backing vocals and Mark Dalton on drums.
Capturing the skilled instrumentation and complex compositions of the original Canadian rockers, Lotus Land performs favorites such as Fly By Night, Tom Sawyer and Closer to the Heart. From die-hard Rush fans to musicians to casual music listeners, the Lotus Land experience has been heralded as the ultimate celebration of the craftsmanship of Rush's music and spirited performances.
