WARWICK, NY McMule, a high energy string band, will appear at the Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery on June 15, at 8 p.m. McMule is an acoustic band featuring vocal harmonies and an eclectic repertoire rooted in bluegrass, folk, swing, Celtic and old-time country blues. The band fuses these different styles to create a high energy sound best described as roots music for modern times a style known as “new grass.” McMule performs “unplugged,” capturing the subtle nuances of the band’s sound. Having performed recently at the winery’s Dylan tribute festival and Apple Blossom Music festival, McMule promises to put on an entertaining show on Friday night. The band is currently touring in support of its debut self-titled CD. The winery is located at 114 Little York Rd. in Warwick, New York. Pane, the café at the winery, will be serving dinner from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tickets for McMule are $10 in advance and $13 at the door.
