Warwick McMule, an acoustic string band, will be appearing at the Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery on June 15, at 8 p.m. The band features pristine vocal harmonies and an eclectic repertoire rooted in bluegrass, folk, swing, Celtic and old-time country blues. The band fuses these different styles to create a sound best described as “roots music for modern times,” a style known as “new grass”. In order to capture the subtle nuances of their sound McMule truly performs “unplugged.” Having performed recently at the winery’s Dylan tribute festival and Apple Blossom Music festival, McMule promises to put on an entertaining show Friday night. The band is currently touring in support of their debut self-titled CD. The winery is located at 114 Little York Road in Warwick. Pane, the café at the winery, will be serving dinner from 6:30 to 9 p.m, Tickets for McMule are $10 in advance and $13 at the door. Reservations are suggested and can be purchased by calling 258-4858.
