NJBG celebrates Earth Day

| 20 Apr 2017 | 01:19

Earth Day weekend is a wonderful time to explore the joys of nature at the New Jersey State Botanical Garden. The Botanical Garden is open every day, free of charge, and on this special weekend you’ll find many fun and interesting things to do there.
On Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. it's the Volunteer Season Kickoff.
NJBG volunteers do work that’s meaningful, fun, and brings delight to thousands of people. Come see the many satisfying ways you can join the team. It’s gardening – and so much more. Many different skills are needed and welcome. Bring gloves and meet in the Carriage House.
At 1 p.m., enjoy the Early Spring Wildflower Walk. Spring is peeking out everywhere. Join Darlene Nowak in checking out the early bloomers in the woodlands of the Wildflower Garden. Wear sturdy shoes and meet at the Carriage House Visitor Center. Rain or snow cancels. $5 donation requested.
