NORWESCAP Child & Family Resource Services is proud to present Today’s Parent, Learning & Growing Together, a parent seminar on September 30th from 8 AM to 1PM. The seminar will be held at Crystal Springs Resorts in Vernon and will include a continental breakfast and lunch. Parents and those who care for children are invited to attend. Speakers Rick Ellis and Arline Oberst will help parents with the challenge of parenting in an entertaining and humorous way. Rick Ellis will pose the question, “How well do you know your child?” Rick Ellis has been involved in the field of early childhood and elementary education for 30 years. He has taught infants through nine years old and has worked in education administration, as a teaching coach, mentor and principal. He is an adjunct faculty member for Bank Street College and a clinical adjunct/professor for Rider University. Arline Oberst will present “Be Your Best Without Stress”, techniques to de-stress a parent’s busy life. Arlene is President of “Lifetime Resources for Women, Inc.” specializing in stress management, higher wisdom and inspirational programs, and volunteerism. A professional speaker, author and trainer, she has spoken to thousands of people nationally and internationally. Arline is known as dynamic and insightful with a great sense of humor and a gift for telling stories. Together the presenters will energize and boost participants parenting skills. The cost is $10.00 and pre-registration is required.
