— Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Parish held its second family festival on May 30, 31, and June 1 on the church property. Parishioners, local businesses, and service organizations worked together and successfully created three days of affordable family-centered fun that engaged all generations from tots to seniors.

"I was very grateful to see young and old share in a great weekend of activities, combined with great food offerings that were all affordable,” said Rev. Michael Rodak, pastor. “Our volunteer and festival leaders provided something that was memorable and enjoyable that will only get better as we offer this to the people of the parish, township, and beyond."

Bingo and the White Elephant Sale were very popular. Other festival events included a rock-climbing wall, giant bounce houses, dunk tank, age-appropriate games, ethnic foods, music, dancing, and a battle of the bands. There was also a dog show, an antique car show, and a bike safety rodeo.
