LAYTON-Peters Valley Craft Center will welcome practicing artists for one- to three-month residencies from January through April, 2006. Participants pay a modest fee of $500/month for a private room and studio access. Studios include blacksmithing, ceramics, fibers, fine metals, woodworking, photography, etc. Residencies provide artists the opportunity to concentrate on their artwork in a supportive atmosphere, without interruptions. Through support from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and the N.J. State Council on the Arts, 12 one-month scholarships are available for N.J. resident artists.
