Sparta - The Lake Mohawk Golf Club will be the site of the fourth annual Project Self-Sufficiency Golf Classic on Monday, May 8. The fund-raising event will benefit the agency’s programs for low-income families in Sussex County. “We are so pleased to hold our event again at Lake Mohawk Golf Club,” said Roy Knutsen, Project Self-Sufficiency board member and chairman of the Golf Classic commitee. “Last year’s tournament was a resounding success, and we are on track to draw even more participants this year.” Knutsen added, “All event proceeds are used to fund Project Self-Sufficiency’s initiatives and programs for low-income families in our community.” “The proceeds from the Golf Classic have contributed significantly to our programs over the past three years,” said Beverly Gordon, president of the organization’s board of directors. The event will begin with a continental breakfast for all participants, followed by a barbecue luncheon, and will conclude with a dinner reception, including a raffle and auction.
