Quilter's Guild prepares for show

WARWICK, N.Y. — The Warwick Valley Quilter’s Guild will be holding its Stars of the Valley Quilt Show—2012 on Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20, 2012 at the Sanfordville Elementary School, 144 Sanfordville Road, Warwick. The Guild will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

The Warwick Valley Quilt Guild has a membership of 150 people living in the Hudson Valley on both sides of the New York/New Jersey state line. The guild provides educational programs for its members as well as participating in community service projects. These projects include the making of walker bags for nursing and rehabilitation centers, Project Linus, baby quilts for day care centers, and Christmas stockings, caps and mittens for local social service agencies. During the past year, club members have been busy making lap quilts for The Quilts of Valor program.
