Ribbit! Family Frog Nights return

| 30 Apr 2013 | 11:59

— Family Frog Nights are back! The West Milford Community Services and Recreation is offering four evenings of Family Frog Night. The program involves learning about the native frogs, what they look like and what they sound like too. This is followed by pond exploration to see what frogs may be found, as well as other kinds of local pond life, such as crayfish and dragonfly nymphs.

Wear boots, bring flashlights, nets and containers, if you have them. The program runs rain or shine, except for thunderstorms. Participating families also take home a guide about the local frogs.

Family Frog Night is being held at Westbrook Park off of Westbrook Road, in the pavilion near the pond. The dates are Thursdays May 9 and 23 and June 13 and 20 at 8 p.m. Cost for this program is $6 per person or $24 for a family (parents and children).

For more information contact the Recreation Department at 973-728-2860. Non-residents are welcome for an additional $10 fee.
