WEST MILFORD — The West Milford Education Foundation (WMEF) is hosting its ninth annual “A Taste of the Highlands” fundraiser on Thursday, May 3, at The Lodge at Camp Ocawasin.

Come sample an array of mouth-watering fare, ranging from appetizers to entrees and desserts provided by area restaurants.

There will be a tricky tray and 50/50 raffle. Proceeds from the evening go directly to the WMEF Honor a Teacher grant program, which benefits the school children of West Milford.

Tickets for the event are $40 per person and are available by mail or by contacting Lisa Peck at 973-271-7942 or lisapeck@optonline.net or Marilyn Schultz at 973-657-1794 or shultz@optonline.net.

The West Milford Education Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to focus money, resources and private sector commitment to benefit our public school children. The foundation provides grants for new programs, enhances the school district’s existing programs and curricula, and also provides equipment and materials that would not otherwise be available to our schools. The foundation is an autonomous tax-exempt organization, separate from the board of education. It is managed by West Milford residents who serve on the board of trustees and volunteer their time and efforts to achieve the mission. The foundation has been in existence since 1995. For more information or to make a donation, visit the Web site at http://wmefnj.org/

The event is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The Lodge at Camp Ocawasin is located at 625 Macopin Road, West Milford.
