Hackettstown - Back by popular demand, the Centenary Stage Company will offer it’s second Comedy Workshop series this winter, beginning Monday, Feb. 19 at the theatre. Teaching the secrets of stand-up and improvisational comedy, the eight-week class will be open to the public, and no prior experience is required. Taught by theatre veteran and Yale School of Drama graduate Kate Lyn Reiter, “Introduction to Comedy “ will introduce the actor to the secrets of stand-up comedy and improv. Learn how to structure material, prepare delivery and other “nuts & bolts” of the world of comedy. In this workshop, actors will work on comedic style and timing, and explore their potential funnybone or just learn to lighten up. The class will be held on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on the campus of Centenary College. Tuition for the class will be $200, and interested participants may register by calling the Centenary Stage Company at 908-979-0900.
