The Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council is currently presenting "Shades of Spring" as its April exhibit. More than 40 pieces of original art in watercolor, pastel, oil and sculpture by 15 artists are featured. All works are for sale with a portion of the sale price going to benefit the council. The gallery is located at 9 Moran Street in Newton. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursdays; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays; and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
