‘Starlite Ball' at Sussex County Community College May 5

    Newton - Twinkling lights, black ties, and fancy dresses will set the scene for Sussex County Community College’s first “Starlite Ball.” The event will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight in the college’s Lakeland Bank Pavilion. Soft dance music will be provided by DJ services throughout the evening. “The pavilion will be decorated red carpet style,” said Julianne Falgiano, Student Government Association president. A “grand entrance” will greet the 100 students expected to attend. An elegant pathway from the entrance will end at the pavilion,with its posts draped in rich blue fabric and outlined with twinkling lights. Food entrees will be served buffet style, along with an assortment of mini desserts. “It is a just a really nice way to end the semester,” said Heidi Gregg, advisor to the Student Government Association and associate director of student activities at the college. Tickets are $20 and will be on sale until April 7 in the college busiiness office. Each student is allowed one guest. Students interested in volunteering or obtaining more information are encouraged to attend the next open meeting of the Student Government Association at 10:50 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, in room D105a.
