Garrick Budrow took this picture of Kaitlyn Bird, Catie McDermott, and Alicia Malpiedi, who were helping with the Streambank Restoration project at Station Park. They were just a few of the Sparta High School students in Rusty Brown's biology and ecology classes who recently planted native trees and shrubs in conjunction with the Department of Environmental Protection as part of the restoration project at the Wallkill River in Station Park. The project involved creating riparian buffer zones, which increase stream water quality.
