"Streets of the Bronx" in West Milford

WEST MILFORD — Come make your Tuesday special at the "Concerts Under the Stars" at the gazebo in Bubbling Springs Park. This Tuesday, July 24, enjoy “Streets of the Bronx.”

This doo-wop group is sure to entertain with their songs from the 50s and 60s. Band members include Butch Barbella, former music director of The Duprees who wrote the score and theme song for the motion picture “A Bronx Tale,”Jerry Brown, who opened for Blood, Sweat & Tears, The Four Tops and others, and Bobby Rustici, who has backed up bands such as Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley.

West Milford Community Services & Recreation is the sponsor of the concert series once again this year.Concerts begin at 7:15 p.m. The concession stand will be open for dinner and snacks.

Bubbling Springs Park is located on Macopin Road in West Milford

There are two more concerts scheduled for the summer after "Streets of the Bronx." They are:

July 31 – “Back In Tyme” for some of your favorite oldies

Aug. 14 – "Parrot Beach" for an Island Beach Party with a tribute to Jimmy Buffet

Concert sponsors are always welcome. Anyone wishing to donate any amount of money to help the township continue the summer concert series should call the Recreation office at 973-728-2860.

This year's executive sponsors are Inserra Supermarkets-Shop Rite of West Milford and Sound On the Run. The series'premier sponsor is Lakeland Bank.
