On Saturday, April 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. Vikki Anderson will present Feng Shui Basics, the art of placement and color to help circulate positive chi (energy) throughout home or office space. A positive flow of chi promotes good mental and physical health, clarity, strength and a solid foundation for your life and future, according to the Feng Shui tradition. Vikki will make suggestions to help make your space one of inspiration, relaxation and enjoyment. Registration required On Friday, April 20 at 11:00 a.m, Brian Oleksak of Rutgers Cooperative Extension will present Selecting the Best Gardening Books for those not sure which gardening books to purchase this season on various topics. Pre-registration required. On Saturday, April 28 at 1:00 p.m., Norma Chang will present Low-Fat, High Flavor Cooking. A Chinese cookbook author, she will demonstrate a healthy and easy way of preparing crisp-tender vegetables and succulent meat using very little oil yet maintaining stir-fry flavor. Participants will learn about Chinese ingredients, kitchen hints, practical do-ahead ideas, time-saving tips, and substitutes. They get to sample the foods prepared during the session. Just for kids third grade and above on Thursday, April 12 at 4 p.m. will be Sign Language For YOU! : finger spelling with the letters of the alphabet and some basic vocabulary through games.
