NEWTON — Taikoza, the masterful Japanese Taiko drummers and dancers will bring their ancestral and powerful drumming to Sussex County Community College for a performance at the Performing Arts Center to celebrate life on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 10:50 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.
Taikoza hits the stage with a high-energy performance of traditional and original Japanese tunes featuring bamboo flutes and an array of ancestral Taiko drums. The show will also feature some very colorful traditional dance and some surprise guests.
The group has toured internationally and has appeared on ESPN, NBC, History Channel, Swiss TV, Russian National TV and many other programs around the world. Taikoza’s music is featured on Nintendo’s wii game: Red Steel 1 and 2.
