Netcong — The Kid’s Walk, a fundraising event for The Growing Stage, the Children’s Theatre of New Jersey, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at the International Trade Center, Mount Olive. Sponsored in part by Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, The Kid’s Walk will be a day-long event, featuring a sponsored walk along the ITC pond, entertainment, displays and demonstrations, inflatable rides and food tent, with free T-shirts provided to pre-registered participants. “The Kid’s Walk is a new event for us and we hope it will help us raise funds to continue to improve the quality of our productions, to ensure that our teaching staff is the best available and that our home, The Historic Palace Theatre, continues to be well-maintained and accessible to all,” said Executive Director Steve Fredericks. The Growing Stage recently installed an elevator at the theatre that will enable handicapped patrons to attend classes and to participate in activities held in its soon-to-be-completed second floor Art Gallery. Registration for The Kid’s Walk is $8 children ($5 for additional child from same family) and $10 adults. A Family Discount Package is available for $25.
