The library kicked off its summer events on Monday, July 11, with The Kootz, a favorite band that performs some of your very favorite tunes. They have a passion for classic rock, pop and blues and just plain fun music from the 1950s through the 1970s. Great evening, wonderful crowd, fantastic music - it hit the trifecta! The library has several more events coming up on Monday evenings, including "A Touch of Sinatra" on July 25, "A Tribute to Carole King" on Aug. 1, The J.A.S. Trio singing songs from the great American songwriters on Aug. 8 and The Ya Yas on Aug. 15. Performances begin at 7 p.m. under the tent behind the library. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
