Milton - In conjunction with the Jefferson Arts Committee’s upcoming second annual Christmas in the Village event scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2, the Jefferson Community Players will present three free performances of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved story, “Little Women,” at the Jefferson Township Senior Center, 54 Schoolhouse Road in the Milton/Oak Ridge section of the township. Performances are scheduled for 10:45 a.m., 12:15 p.m., and 1:15 p.m., and no reservations are necessary. Parking is free, and the Center is an official shuttle bus stop for other venues taking place throughout the day at various venues locations in the Village of Milton and vicinity. Centered around the performances will be two sessions of a Victorian Tea and Craft, but reservations are required to participate in either of the two scheduled seatings. The first session is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. to make a sachet ornament with an 11:30 a.m. tea/dessert seating complete with china teacups and saucers. Be sure to stay and watch the 10:45 a.m. performance of “Little Women” in between. The second tea/dessert seating will be at 2 p.m. followed at 2:45 p.m. with the craft session where a fan ornament will be made. The cost of the Tea/Craft session is only $5 per person, and you’ll even get a photograph with the cast of “Little Women.” However, an adult must accompany children under the age of 12. Reservation forms will be distributed to all township schools, but you can register now by picking up a registration form at the Jefferson Township Public Library, Municipal Building Lobby, or Camp Jefferson’s Recreation Department brochure racks.
