Newton - “Thursdays on the Green” at Sussex County Community College begins June 7 with “Old Echoes, New Ears n The Myths and Legends of Ancient Greece” performed by Shakespeare LIVE!, the educational touring wing of The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. It will be held in the Lakeland Bank Pavilion on the Connor Green at 6:45 p.m. The performance is free; refreshments will be available for purchase and chairs will be provided for this event. “Old Echoes, New Ears n The Myths and Legends of Ancient Greece” was created for the Shakespeare LIVE! Touring company. In this production magical muses lead a journey through the classic tales of Greek mythology from the rise of the Olympian deities to Icarus’ fall, from Midas’ golden touch to Narcissus’ self-love. “Thursdays on the Green” will continue throughout the summer with an assortment of music and entertainment.
